About the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Lake County
The NPHC of Lake County (NPHCLC) is the Lake County chapter of the National Pan-Hellenic Council. The NPHCLC is a collaborative organization of the Black Greek Lettered Fraternities & Sororities. The council was chartered in October of 2008. The chartering members/organizations were:

Dr. Cherise Hall (Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.)
Mark Jones (Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.)
Gail Norris (Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.)
Ralph “Mikki” Robinson (Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.)
Valencia Samuel (Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.)
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., joined in following years to make the council a complete “Divine 9”.
With community being the central focus of the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Lake County, we promote programs and initiatives to improve the African American conditions from an academic, economic, health, social and civic perspective. Through partnerships with other community-based organizations, as well as, relationships established among member-chapters, the NPHCLC encourages member chapters to be leaders in the community through service, education, brotherhood, and sisterhood.
